June is National Scoliosis Awareness Month, and we’re excited to do our part by hosting a free community workshop! This session is designed for individuals with scoliosis and the people who support them—loved ones, caregivers, and medical professionals are all welcome. In this workshop, we’ll explore:
The true three‑dimensional nature of scoliosis (hint: it’s far more complex than a simple sideways curve).
How scoliosis creates a ripple effect throughout the entire body.
Why traditional core‑strengthening exercises often fall short for people with scoliosis.
Mandy’s top three core exercises that do work for scoliosis.
What to bring: A stack of hand towels or washcloths, and a yoga mat if you have one.
About the presenter: Mandy Glitzer is a C‑IAYT Yoga Therapist, NASM Personal Trainer, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Most importantly, she lives with severe scoliosis herself. After finding meaningful pain relief through Yoga for Scoliosis, she has spent the past decade helping others with back conditions move, feel, and live better.
*This class is sponsored by the Wellness in Motion Om-azing Scholarship Fund and is free to participants. Pre-registration is required due to materials needed to host class.
