Free Community Tech Help Day

We are looking for tech-savvy volunteers to help us host our first Community Tech Help Day on Saturday, August 1st, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
We're looking for people who want to make a positive difference in the community by helping elderly individuals, or anyone who struggles with technology, better understand the devices they already own.
Customers regularly come into our store looking for help with their phones, tablets, computers, email, apps, passwords, social media, and other technology-related questions. Unfortunately, we're not always able to stop what we're doing to spend the time needed teaching them. That's why we'd like to dedicate one day each month where people can come in with their device, questions, or problems and sit down with a volunteer who can help guide them through it.
This is the first event we're hosting, so we're hoping to find about 4 volunteers to help during the event. If turnout is good, we'd love to continue growing it into a monthly community program.
This is not a repair event. The goal is simply to help people understand and become more comfortable using the technology they already own.
If you're patient, friendly, and comfortable with technology, we'd love to hear from you. Even a few hours of your time could make a huge difference to someone who is struggling with modern technology.
If you're interested in volunteering, please send us a message.
