This Free Self Defense series is a great way to learn how to defend yourself with proven techniques for every day use and is sponsored by the Coquille Indian Tribe Culture, Education, and Language Services department.
There is no experience required and all you need is comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle. We recommend leggings or compression shorts (you may wear regular shorts over these) and a top that covers shoulders as the mats can rub on the skin and be uncomfortable.
Classes will take place at Union Jiu Jitsu at 1955 Union Ave, North Bend, OR 97459. You may take as many of these classes as you like; they will all be different and each can be taken as a stand-alone class.
These classes are coed and suitable for ages 13+. There is no age limit, anyone can learn something from a self-defense class.
