Since 2002, the first Saturday in May has been known as Free Comic Book Day, when comic shops around the world give away free, special edition comics…And this year, we’re participating for the very first time!
Join us on Saturday, 2nd May for Free Comic Book Day (now also known as Comics Giveaway Day by some publishers), when every customer will be able to walk away with free, limited edition comics!
This being our first foray into the event, we’ve haven’t gone mad and splashed out on the full range of FCBD/CGD titles, but rather taken a modest, sensible approach and hand-picked a selection of comics that we feel will appeal to our customers. We’ll be unveiling our range of eight free titles in the run up to the event.
What you’ll find at FCBD@SF-Collectables:
1 FREE special edition comic with every purchase;
an extra FREE comic with every £10 spent on full price comics;
plus every customer with an active comic subscription will have our choice of FREE comic placed in their folder, even if they can’t make it on the day;

Free comics are limited to a maximum of eight per customer (one each of the FCBD/CGD titles), while stocks last. Any remaining stock will continue to be given away with every £10 of full-price comics after Free Comic Book Day. To qualify for their bonus free comic, subscribers must have had their subscription in place before 1st April 2026 and still be active on 2nd May 2026.
