Raul Nieves and Eileen Herman-Haase, owners of Dance Caliente, are happy to announce a series of 3 Workshops at the Medford Public Library. We begin by teaching you two delightful Line-Dances on March 19 followed by the same two dance styles done with partners April 16 and May 28. Register for all 3, 2 or 1.
BROOKLYN SHUFFLE(HUSTLE)
The Brooklyn Shuffle was one of the line dances that was showcased in the blockbuster film Saturday Night Fever which premiered in 1977. It was choreographed to fit the hit tune “Night Fever” which was written and recorded by The Bee Gees. We can’t wait to go down memory lane with you, think bell-bottoms and attitude!
RUMBA LINE DANCE
The Rumba is a ballroom dance of Afro-Cuban folk-dance origin. In the line-dance version, we plan on teaching, you will be able to enjoy its subtle side to side hip movements and its basic pattern of two quick side steps and a slow forward step. Imagine dancing all this and more to the voice of Mariah Carey singing 'My All'.
