FREE SALSA DANCE CLASSES ON WEDNESDAYS IN JANUARY
- What: Salsa for absolute beginners taught by Ryan & Rae Lambert
- When: Wednesdays, starting Jan 8th from 5:30 to 6:15 pm
- Where: Spinnaker Rec Center in Portsmouth.
- Cost: January classes will be FREE!

Why we're teaching for free:
We really want to grow the latin dance community here in the Seacoast so we don't have to drive to Boston for dancing!
About the class:
It will be for true beginners to have fun, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation so that you can quickly move on to intermediate classes. It's not intended to be a class you stay in!
Experienced dancers are welcome to come early to warm up their bodies before the open/intermediate classes in Salsa and Bachata taught by Nina & Anita.
Wednesdays with Fluere at Spinnaker:
- Beginner Salsa 5:30 - 6:15 pm
- Open Salsa 6:15 - 7 pm
- Open Bachata 7 - 7:45 pm
No partner required for any of our classes!
Why dancing is such a big part of our lives:
- Meet Cute: Ryan and I met social dancing (swing) so we know it's a great way to meet the love of your life.
- Physical & Mental Health: Even though we have insanely busy schedules, we always make time for dancing because it's 3-in-1: physical exercise, making friends, and getting those creative juices flowing!
- A study published in the BMJ reviewed 218 studies with over 14,000 participants and found that dancing may be more effective at treating depression than other forms of exercise, including walking, jogging, yoga, and weight training, potentially even showing greater benefits compared to SSRIs alone!
What the class will be like:
- Learning basic footwork and rhythms as a group
- Partnering up (no partner required) to learn basic hand holds and turns
- We rotate partners every 90 seconds, so you'll meet everyone and hone your skills with different partners
- Learning just what you need to get dancing confidently to start learning fun moves in the open/intermediate classes.
