Re-scheduled from the snow! Join us this month for an exciting hands-on activity presented by the Oak Spring Garden Foundation in partnership with the Fauquier County Public Library- Bealeton! Kids (ages 6-11) and teens (ages 12-18) are invited to get creative and learn about the incredible curative powers of plants like lavender, tulsi basil, lemon verbena, eucalyptus, calendula & many more! Participants will create self-care products like lip balm and hand warmers using dried herbs from the Biocultural Conservation Farm at Oak Spring Garden.
It's a fun and free way to learn new skills, get artsy, and connect with the natural world.
Each month, OSGF hosts a different free, nature-inspired activity at local libraries, offering a unique opportunity for young minds to engage with the environment in fun, interactive ways. Donโt miss out on January's event, and be sure to follow us for each month's new theme!
Walk-ins welcome! Go to your libraryโs website for more info at the link provided.
