In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the Akron Art Museum will be open and FREE to all.
View artwork with a specially designed gallery guide, spend time with friends and family in Open Studio, and pop into the auditorium to enjoy the New York Internation Children's Film Festival's Celebrating Black Stories short films.
Celebrating Black Stories spotlights Black narratives that transcend national boundaries, culture, and language with films in English, French, Zulu, and even ASL! These films share the joy, determination, resilience, and complexity of being young and Black while underscoring the vibrancy of Black storytelling.
