Free Acupuncture for First Responders: A 30-Minute Stress Reset
About this Event
You spend your days carrying the weight of everyone else's emergencies. This is 30 minutes to set that weight down.
Calm Hour is a free, guided relaxation experience created especially for first responders — police, fire, EMS, dispatch, and more. No needle anxiety, no long commitment, no cost. Just a quiet, supported space to let your body shift out of "on" mode and into real rest.
How it works
You'll start with a simple check-in: a quick form and a 1–10 stress scale, so you have a clear before-and-after picture of your own session. Then we'll guide you through a short breathing exercise to help your body settle. From there, three very small, single-use needles are placed at three points on the ear — Shen Men, Point Zero, and Sympathetic — known for calming the mind and helping regulate the nervous system. Most people barely feel them. What they do notice is how quickly their body starts to unwind.
You'll then rest quietly for 20–25 minutes while your nervous system does the real work — no interruptions, just calm.
Why it works
These same points are part of the reason hospitals like the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and Cleveland Clinic use acupuncture to calm pre-surgical anxiety — it works directly with the vagus nerve, the pathway that signals your body it's safe to rest, digest, and heal. This isn't theory; it's the same nervous-system reset used in some of the country's leading medical centers, offered here in 30 quiet minutes.
What you'll leave with:
Every first responder who attends goes home with a take-home calm kit: a simple breathing guide, acupressure points you can use anytime, and three Stress Reset passes to share with fellow first responders, friends, or family. If you'd like to continue care afterward, we're also offering attendees a free insurance verification check and a waived initial assessment fee on your first visit — no pressure, just an easy next step if it feels right.
