His books, including Whiskey Women and Bourbon, earned international acclaim, while Fred is a co-host of the Bourbon Pursuit, Pin It Forward and Fourth & Neat podcasts, as well as the host of a popular whiskey YouTube Channel.

Once sipping bourbon backstage with Metallica, Fred's appeared on Top Chef, Pawn Stars and the Today Show. He lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and two kids, practicing Brazilian jiujitsu and rocking ascots—never together.
