About the authors:
Fran Hauser is a leading career expert and vocal champion of women in the workplace, a former President of Digital at Time Inc., and a startup investor. She is also the owner of Bedford Books in Bedford, New York, and the acclaimed author of The Myth of the Nice Girl. Her forthcoming book, Twenty Minutes Is the New Hour, will be published by Penguin Random House/Crown Currency in September 2026.
She has spoken at over 200 organizations, including Meta, Google, Unilever, BlackRock, Mastercard, and The Conference for Women. Fran’s insights have appeared in Fortune, CNBC, Fast Company, Elle, Refinery29, and Business Insider.
Fran lives outside NYC with her husband, two sons, and beloved mini Goldendoodle.
Jordan Roter is a published novelist, screenwriter, and TV writer/producer. Roter adapted her second novel, CAMP RULES, into a feature for Paramount, and set up several other features—based on original ideas, and adaptations of international formats, and novels—as well as rewrites, and roundtable punch-ups for studios, streamers, and financiers. On the TV side, Roter has developed half-hour comedies and hour-long dramedies for CBS, ABC, NBC, and The CW. She staffed on the ABC comedy, AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE, and was a Co-Producer on the Freeform thriller, THE WATCHFUL EYE. Recently, Roter adapted hit Korean format, OH MY GHOST, into a supernatural dramedy for Blumhouse/StudioDragon, and wrote a multi-generational family comedy pilot called COMMON ENEMY for ABC Signature. Currently, Roter is adapting her third novel, a female-driven satire called MOMS LIKE US (Little A, 2025) for MGM as a TV series. Roter was raised in Manhattan, and now lives in Los Angeles with her husband, kids, and their dog, Alfie.
