The Museum is home to over 70 pieces of rolling stock and more than 150,000 artifacts, serving as a trusted steward of two centuries of railroad history.
The Fox River Expansion was made possible through the Museum’s Full Steam Ahead! Capital Campaign and addresses key needs for growth, including:
• Expanded ADA-accessible outdoor spaces along the picturesque Fox River
• Increased climate-controlled exhibit space to protect and display priceless artifacts
• Additional room for immersive, technology-rich educational experiences
• Greater capacity to host community events, school programs, and traveling exhibits
As one of the region’s most-visited attractions, the Museum contributes more than $20 million annually to the local economy, drawing tourists from over 50 countries and offering unique educational programming aligned with Wisconsin State Model Academic Standards.
