Eagle Ridge Resort & Spa hosts ‘A Soaring Salute’ , a patriotic Fourth of July weekend celebration benefiting Honor Flight of Dubuque and the Tri-States. The event features Team Fastrax parachute demonstrations, WWII reenactments, the Firecracker 5K/10K Run & Walk, the 4th Annual Honor Flight Golf Scramble. On July 4, the celebration continues with family-friendly entertainment, live music, and activities at the nearby Barn Party at Shenandoah Riding Center.
JULY 3:
7:00 a.m. – Firecracker Run/Walk Check-In Begins.
8:00 a.m. – Kids Sparkler Sprint Begins.
8:10 a.m. – Firecracker 5K/10K Run & Walk Begins.
8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. – The Secondary Infantry Division WWII Reenactors. Living historians, military displays, vehicles, carrier pigeons, and encampments on site. Tents and displays will also be set up on July 2 for preview opportunities.
8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. – Pancakes & Parachutes Breakfast ($10 per person)
9:00 a.m. – Presentation of Colors presented by the Galena American Legion & VFW Post 2665
10:30 a.m. – Team Fastrax Skydiving Performance. The jump will begin at approximately 11 a.m.
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Registration for the 4rd Annual 9-Hole Scramble Golf Outing. Lunch vouchers included with registration.
1:00 p.m. – Shotgun Start for Golf Outing, award ceremony and music immediately following the outing.
4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Stars and Stripes Jeep Showcase near Highlands Restaurant
JULY 4:
July 4th Barn Party at Shenandoah Riding Center
1:00p.m. - 4:00p.m.. Guests can enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly entertainment, including a high-energy performance by the Midwest Renegades, pony rides, balloon artists, a petting zoo, wagon rides, a bounce house, and live music by Ten Gallon Hat. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Complimentary shuttle service to and from event activities will be available for resort guests.
