Join us for the fourth annual Wichmann Vineyard Grape Stomp on Saturday, June 7, 2025!
Several years ago, our vineyard was the location for an annual grape stomp put on by award-winning winemakers Ted Wichmann and Karen Hand. We are happy to bring the tradition back with live music, delicious wine made by Ted's daughter Johanna, and plenty of grapes to be stomped!
Festivities will begin at 2:00 p.m. with live music from local musicians the 'Ol Fiskskins. Every fifteen minutes, a new set of stompers will step into our loaded barrels to see how much juice they can push out of the provided grapes. At the end of the day, the person with the most juice will be crowned the Grape Stomp champion, receiving a free bottle of Wichmann Vineyard wine and a set of wine glasses. There will also be a kids’ division and a Lucy Look-alike Contest. The Lucy contest winner will also receive a free bottle of wine and a set of wine glasses!
Tickets for the event are $15 and participants are welcome to bring food to snack on throughout the festival. Food will also be available for purchase on site. Outside alcohol is not permitted. All ticket holders will receive one free glass of wine of their choice from Wichmann Vineyard the day of the event.
Children under the age of 12 can stomp for $5 and will receive a participation medal designed specifically for this year’s event.!
