Join Gail Moses of Nite-n-Gail Arts and KC Peek of Seeds of Imagination at the Local Artisan Collective for a year-long creative journey in junk journaling and intention setting. This three-part workshop series will guide you through designing meaningful, artful layouts that support reflection, gratitude, goal-setting, and growth throughout the year.
Each session covers four months of the year, exploring seasonal themes and creative prompts to help you stay inspired and grounded. You’ll learn to design creative four-section spreads that can evolve into a year’s worth of expressive pages, each one a visual reflection of your intentions and experiences.
We’ll experiment with collage, layering, composition, and a simple bookbinding technique to help you create or expand your own journal. No experience necessary. All materials will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own journal, binder, or personal ephemera to make your project truly your own.
Come for one session ($48 each) or save $20 when you book all three ($124 total) to complete your year of creative reflection and intention!
Saturday, January 10th, from 2pm to 4pm – Set the tone for your year with clarity and creativity. In this session, we’ll focus on themes of renewal, vision, and gentle beginnings. Explore ways to capture your hopes and goals through collage, layering, and intentional design by creating your first four-month spread to guide you through winter into spring.
Saturday, April 25th, from 2pm to 4pm – As the world blooms, so can your ideas. This session centers on growth, gratitude, and creative momentum. We’ll explore color, movement, and texture in our journal layouts to reflect on progress, celebrate wins, and nurture what’s still unfolding.
Saturday, August 29th, from 2pm to 4pm – As the year begins to wind down, turn inward with reflection, balance, and harvest as your guides. We’ll use found imagery, layered textures, and thoughtful prompts to honor what’s come to fruition and set gentle intentions for the close of the year.

About the Artists:
Gail Moses is excited to begin her new art journey here in Utah after teaching and creating in her own art studio for decades in Alaska. She loves working with polymer clay, watercolor, and drawing. Gail looks forward to sharing her knowledge, experience and techniques while teaching classes here at The Local Artisan Collective.
KC Peek is an award-winning mixed media artist based in Ogden, Utah. She is known for her unique dioramas made from thrift store finds, her great-grandmother’s costume jewelry, and other memorabilia. In addition to her dioramas, KC paints delicate watercolors, often focusing on botanicals, and explores mixed media techniques to create striking 2D and relief artwork.
