Join us for a special service of remembrance as First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) welcomes American Legion Post 49 for a tribute to the Four Chaplains.On February 1st, during our 10:30 AM worship service, we will honor the remarkable courage, faith, and selfless sacrifice of Chaplains George Fox, Alexander Goode, Clark Poling, and John Washington—four spiritual leaders from different traditions who gave their lives to save others aboard the USAT Dorchester in 1943.
Their story continues to inspire unity, compassion, and service beyond ourselves. Together with members of Post 49, we will reflect on their legacy and the enduring call to love our neighbors in times of profound need.
All are welcome to join this meaningful time of remembrance as we celebrate the spirit of courage and interfaith cooperation that the Four Chaplains embodied.
