About this Event

Founders' Lounge - MK Tech Week
Third Unit, YMCA, Central Milton Keynes

Join us in person for the Founders' Lounge during MK Tech Week!

It’s the perfect spot to connect with fellow founders, share ideas, and unwind away from the usual noise.

A safe space for early-stage founders to speak to advisors, investors and those who have successfully raised equity. Each conversation will be confidential and allow you to share what you are doing and where you are to get useful feedback on viability, next steps, what you are missing, alternative routes for finance or who to speak to next.

Disclaimer - the advice/discussions at the event do not constitute formal advice, whether this be legal or financial.

Founders who wish to attend the event will be sent a short questionnaire to submit giving an overview of your business.

The number of attendees is limited so we can ensure that everyone gets time with the advisors, investors and experienced founders.

We have collaborated with MPA and ThatRound to create a full day of events for early-stage founders. If you're attending the Founders' Lounge you may find the other events in the morning are useful as well. The information and booking links for the two panels are below.

Why great technology is not enough to build a successful business 10.30 to 11.30

The UK is world-class at innovation, yet many promising technology businesses struggle to translate brilliant ideas into commercial success.

The session will explore the wider commercial journey: validating the market, building customer traction, creating repeatable revenue, and preparing a business for long-term growth and investment.

What is the difference between investible and investor-ready, and how do founders get there? Your questions answered.

This session explains what we mean by investible and the difference between investible and investor ready? So if you're seeking equity investment, you will understand the process and what an investor is looking for when they hear your pitch and read your deck.

Thank you to our sponsors, YFM Equity Partners and Hillier Hopkins LLP - your support allows us to hold these events.
