Lithuania has become one of the most dynamic FinTech hubs in Europe. Since 2016, the country has positioned itself as the leading jurisdiction in the EU by number of FinTech licenses issued, attracting companies that serve more than 30 million customers across the European Union.

Today, over 280 FinTech companies operate in Lithuania, many of them choosing the country as their European entry point thanks to its efficient regulatory framework, proactive supervisory authorities and strong infrastructure for financial innovation.

In this session of the Founders Fundamentals series, Agnė Daukšienė will provide an insider’s perspective on the Lithuanian FinTech ecosystem. The session will explore why global FinTech companies choose Lithuania, what types of financial licenses are available, and what founders should know when navigating the European regulatory landscape.

Agnė Daukšienė is a regulatory expert with more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry. She is the founder of ExpertLab Consulting, a boutique advisory firm specializing in licensing, regulatory compliance, AML and governance for financial institutions and FinTech companies.

She also serves as an independent board member for FinTech companies and advises multiple licensed financial institutions on licensing and regulatory compliance matters.
