Foundational Calligraphy for Beginners - Sun, Aug 2, 2026

Learn how to draw the basic foundational letter shapes, which you can use to embellish hand-made books, greeting cards, envelopes, tags, bookmarks, notes, etc. Extremely legible, the foundational hand serves as a model for many contemporary lettering and typefaces — and often to cover big spaces too. This half-day workshop will also include a short demonstration of the various traditional tools used in calligraphy, plus lots of time for guided practice with the foundational writing style. All skill levels welcome. All materials provided. Age 18+
