BSIS BATON TRAINING

As a licensed Baton Training Facility (TFB 1265), C.A.S. and Sons Protective Group can help you meet the requirements to obtain your BSIS Baton Permit as well as your required refresher training. Permits are now valid for two years and have to be renewed. However, you must have your BSIS Guard Card or be in the application process in order to attend class. Students MUST show proof at the beginning of class. You must bring your duty belt with holster and duty baton for requalifications.

Our course is designed to teach you everything you’ll need to know to carry and use a baton as while on duty as a professional security officer.

Subjects include:

Moral and legal aspects of baton usage

Issues concerning the use of force

Baton familiarization and uses

Fundamentals of baton handling, including:

o Stances and grips

o Target areas

o Defensive techniques

o Control and arrest techniques and First aid for baton injuries

You’ll receive classroom instruction with student handouts as well as segments of practical application. All materials used are BSIS approved. The cost of the class does not include your application fees to BSIS.
