Have a Legit Kits, Quiltworx or any foundation paper piecing project you’ve always wanted to make but have been a little afraid to start? Maybe you opened the kit, saw all those pieces and colors, and quietly closed it again. Or perhaps you started a Legit Kits project in a previous class, brought it home…and haven’t touched it since.

Our Legit Kits Sew Along will be led by Julie Belin of Blue Oak Quilting, a Certified Legit Kits Instructor. Julie will be sewing right alongside you for the day and will be available to demonstrate techniques, answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and share tips she has learned from working with Legit Kits.
This is not a formal step-by-step class where everyone works on the same project. Bring the Legit Kits project YOU want to work on and spend the day making progress with Julie and a room full of fellow Legit Kits sewists.
Foundation paper piecing is very doable once you understand the process—and with Legit Kits, organization is one of the biggest keys to success. We’ve linked a number of super-helpful YouTube videos with the event information to help you understand the process, get organized, and know what you’ll need before you arrive. We highly encourage you to watch these before the sew along so you can arrive ready to sew.

Already have the pattern and want to shop your stash or choose your own fabrics? Stop by the shop and we can share color cards from several fabric manufacturers to help you create your palette.
