Join us at the Turkey Creek Sanctuary on Saturday, December 20 from 2 to 4 PM for our Fossil Hunting Class. $10 per person. This class is for ages 10+.Are you interested in fossil hunting? Join our class to learn all about Florida’s rich fossil history. The first hour of class will be a classroom discussion on the tools and techniques used in fossil hunting The second hour of the class will be spent examining various vertebrate fossils that were collected in Florida.
An optional field trip to the Peace River (town of Arcadia) will be planned and discussed during class time. The field trip will be led by Mark Renz, a world-renowned field guide and expert in Florida fossils. Information regarding date, time, and cost will be discussed in class.
Pre-registration is required for all Turkey Creek Sanctuary classes, workshops, and tours. Please call (321) 676-6690 to sign up. No walk ups please!
