Foróige's Annual Volunteer Conference

The Galway Bay Hotel is the location for our National Foróige Volunteer Conference 2024. Foróige's Annual Conference is a wonderful opportunity for Foróige volunteers such as mentors, club leaders, project volunteers, NFTE, board members and others to come together as one Foróige volunteer community. The conference facilitates the exchange of ideas and learning through interactive discussions, inspiring guest speakers and the many wonderful conversations you will have. Enjoy and then go home refreshed, motivated and with Foróige friendships made or renewed.

We have some great sessions planned around the conference theme of Foróige - Learning for Living.

• There will be lots of moving, mixing and mingling!
• Share your experience organising interclub events and learn new ideas and methods
• Hear stories of some volunteers and clubs achieving significant milestones
• Meet successful young adults who have grown up in Foróige
• Learn about involving students as volunteers
• Hear the breath of Foróige’s work in the past year from the chairperson of the board
• Relax and chat with volunteers from all over the country
• Meet old and new friends and feel the warm embrace of your Foróige family.

Cost

The cost of attending is far below the actual cost as it is subsidised significantly by Foróige.

For the price many hotels are charging for one night, you will get 2 nights plus all your meals, a live band, a quiz and much more.

• Club, Mentor and Project volunteers applying must be listed as active in Salesforce.
• For clubs, please note that, space allowing, we will take the first three leaders who apply from each cub. Others will go on a waiting list.
• Each person must book theit ticket individually. Tickets cannot be booked in groups.
• When requested, you must give your own personal email and not the club email.
• Places are limited, and so booking and paying may not guarantee a place. If there are any issues with your ticket Foróige will contact you directly. Any refunds will be administered through Foróige Parkwest.

Accommodation, Costs and subsidies

Unwaged: There is a €15 reduction on the two main ticket types for people who are unwaged. To apply for this use the promo code "unwaged"on either the full weekend cost or the Saturday/ Sunday only cost.

We have mainly double and triple rooms, but some single rooms too. There is a supplement of €100 for single rooms. You can add this to your ticket below.

Normally, the conference fee is non-refundable except for exceptional circumstances or if we cannot give you a place. Cancellations must be notified to [email protected] no later than Friday 25th October. Apply early to avoid disappointment.

Friday Night Dinner arrangements

Dinner is available from 6.30pm on Friday night, until about 7.30pm. Please let us know if you will not be there for dinner. If you cannot make it for dinner on Friday night we can organise sandwiches & Tea/Coffee up to 9.30pm upon request.
