Fortunes & Folklore: An Afternoon of Readings & Storytelling
About this Event
What does the future hold? Spend an autumn afternoon at The Hickories Museum, exploring fortune, folklore, and the mysterious traditions of divination.
Four fortune tellers will offer distinctly different readings throughout the afternoon, 3:00 – 7:00 PM. Choose the reading, or readings, that intrigue you most:
Jasmine — Tarot & Pendulum
Melissa — Bones & Charms
Laura — Palms & Curios
Holly — Oracle, Ogham & Witches' Runes
Each reading is 15 minutes for $30. Sign up for as many readings as you like!
While you wait for your reading, settle into our parlor with light snacks, where a storyteller will be sharing intriguing local tales and folklore. There will also be drinks available at our bar for a donation. Take in the Victorian-inspired Halloween atmosphere throughout The Hickories and take a chance on some fun fall raffle baskets!
Come for a glimpse of what may lie ahead, and stay for the stories, traditions, and mysteries of the past. Reserve your reading time(s) online. Proceeds benefit the mission of the Lorain County Historical Society.
Please note that due to the historic architecture of the building, attendance requires the ability to walk up and down stairs.
Contact the Lorain County Historical Society’s office at [email protected] or (440) 322-3341 for more information.
