Fortūna is a bold new work by Sugar Kaye Sañejo Grefaldeo that fuses explosive Hip-Hop, traditional Filipino folk dance, and spoken word. Bursting with energy and heart, the work traces Sugar’s journey from Manila streets to her life in Australia, questioning luck, fortune, and what it means to dance against the odds. Developed through Canberra Theatre Centre’s New Works Program, this global premiere is a powerful celebration of movement, storytelling, and destiny.
