Forsyth County Summer JAM Camps at UNCSA
This July, come make music with us at our Junior Appalachian Musicians (JAM) Summer Camps taking place July 20-24 on UNCSA Campus! 🌄🎶
Whether you're 10 or 70, a complete beginner or someone dusting off an instrument after years away, there's a place for you around the circle.
🎵 Youth Camp (Grades 4–12)
Explore fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, upright bass, dance, crafts, and Appalachian traditions through hands-on learning and group music making. No experience required, and instruments are available for students who want to try something new!
🎶 Adult Camp
Always wanted to learn to jam? Looking to reconnect with music in a fun, low-pressure environment? Join fellow musicians for group instruction, guided jam sessions, and an unforgettable week of making music together.
Both camps are led by an incredible team of traditional musicians: Caroline Beverley, Chester McMillian, Rex McGee, Ben Masterson, and Jessie McGee, and they culminate in a joint community performance on Friday, July 24 at 5:30 PM.
✨ Come for the music.
🎻 Stay for the community.
💙 Leave with new friends, new tunes, and a deeper connection to one of our region's richest musical traditions.
