Forró a la Turca is an international forró festival organised by Forró Istanbul, celebrating more than 10 years of forró culture in Istanbul.
Join us in Istanbul on 11–13 September 2026 for a weekend of workshops, parties, concerts, live music, DJs, and social dancing with artists and participants from around the world. The festival starts with an opening party on 11 September and will end with a cultural tour on 14 September. The workshops will be only on 12-13 September.
The 2026 edition is especially meaningful as it will be the first Forró a la Turca festival since our unforgettable 2019 edition, remembered by many in the community as one of the most special and energetic gatherings we have ever created together. The event brings together Brazilian forró culture and the unique energy of Istanbul, creating a warm, international, and community-driven atmosphere.
First Tickets is released on 1 June at 18:00, Istanbul time. This first release will be available with a special discounted price for those who book early. Places will be limited, so make sure you don’t miss the chance to be among the first to join us for Forró a la Turca 2026. Second release will be on 16 June at 20:00, Istanbul time.

Founded in 2014, Forró Istanbul is a non-profit community dedicated to promoting and sharing forró through classes, events, and festivals, including the Forró a la Turca Festival.
