Fans can expect a thrilling start in Melbourne as the Championship unveils a fresh generation of race cars built to the all-new 2026 technical regulations, promising greater efficiency, sustainability, and closer racing.
Australia will see the debut of the Cadillac Formula 1® Team, set to join as the 11th team on the grid, while Audi F1 Team will also start their new era in Melbourne, as a team and power unit manufacturer through the acquisition of current team Sauber.
For Australian fans, the BIGGEST headline is the homecoming of Championship leader, Oscar Piastri. The Melbourne-born driver will return to Albert Park hoping to replicate his recent wins on home soil, and kick off his 2026 Championship campaign with success.
With new teams, new cars, and a new chapter beginning in Australia, the 2026 F1® season is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated in recent history.
Formula 1® will launch the 2026 season at Albert Park from 5th-8th March.
