Forging Partnerships for Health Innovation in the Third Sector

Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria (HI NENC) is hosting a workshop on hosting a workshop on behalf of the University of Sunderland, Teesside University and NortHFutures to uncover opportunities for digital health innovation in the Third Sector.

*This event is open to PhD students, early career researchers, and academic staff with an interest in health technology innovation. *

The event aims to build greater understanding of the health ecosystem that exists between HI NENC, the universities and NortHFutures and how this support can be accessed to solve problems that exist in the third sector. As part of the workshop, all organisations will work together to share ideas to benefit the healthcare space.

There is also an opportunity to take forward two of the ideas that come out of the day with £5,000 available as part of NortHFutures funding. This funding supports research under four themes, each grounded in the health and care needs of our region:

• Promoting Health and Nutrition for Children and Young People
• Supporting Mental Health and Wellbeing
• Developing Digital Surgical Pathway
• Living with Multiple Long-term Conditions

We will explore these themes in further detail on the day.
