Forge Theater Labs LIVE: "To Boldly Go" by John Patrick Bray
Forge Theater Labs is proud to announce its next live episode taping for Season 1, "To Boldly Go," by John Patrick Bray, presented at the University of Southern Maine’s Southworth Planetarium on May 20th at 7:00 PM. In this immersive, one-night-only radio play, Gamer Samus and Ancient Greek Philosopher Aristotle explore the merits and challenges of “Geek Theatre” when they are suddenly whisked into the future to help stop a war between AI and the last remaining humans.
Director Grace Kellar-Long shares this about the radio play, “To Boldly Go is a funny, zany, sci-fi adventure that is both Geek Theater itself and about the power of Geek Theater. Come for the Star Trek jokes and stay for the commentary on our relationships with theater, spectacle, and Artificial Intelligence.”
“To Boldy Go” is sound-designed and engineered by Cory Macgowan, with postproduction editing by Sam Rapaport. This episode features performances by Joshua N Hsu, Maya Williams, Sarabell Wrigley, and original live music by Portland Producer and Keyboardist and Special Musical Guest Myles Kelley.
