Due to popular demand, ‘Forge in the Forest’ is back with a one-off beginners’ black-smithing session. We are running one forging session a month in January, February and March. There is also an option to block book a set of 3 workshops. This will be valid for any 2026 session – further dates tbc.This is a relaxed, informal workshop for up to 5 people to have a go at black-smithing in our outdoor forge. No experience is necessary and all tools, materials and safety equipment are provided. The workshop is led by Steve Burns, a professional blacksmith with a wealth of experience.
The forging workshop will run from 1 to 4pm.
Depending on your level of experience we will be creating simple beginner black-smithing projects such as a coat hook or poker. If you already have some experience Steve will discuss with you would you would like to make.
We will stop for a break about half way through each session to have a brew and a slice of cake.
