Whether you’re a history buff, a nature lover, or looking for a fun day out with the family, Forest Fest offers a unique look into the heritage, legacy, and future of Wisconsin’s timber industry.
From the roar of modern logging machinery and the artistry of chainsaw carving to the rhythmic clip-clop of horse-drawn wagons, Forest Fest brings history to life. It’s a day packed with hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and community spirit. Whether you’re interested in the science of forestry, the majesty of birds of prey, or just a great day out with the family, there’s magic waiting on campus!
This year, kids can take the lead with our Forest Fest Passport Program. Kids visit activity stations—from papermaking to wildlife exhibits—and get their passport stamped. Once the passport is full of adventure stamps, head to the prize station to claim a reward! It’s the ultimate way to learn while having a blast.
