What if the forest became the runway?
On Saturday, September 26, Constitution Lakes Park transforms into an unexpected setting for fashion with a purpose—and one seriously different day in the park!
The Forest Fashion Show takes center stage, bringing together youth, community members, organizations, designers, stylist and everyday fashion lovers to showcase creative looks while exploring a bigger question: What does what we wear have to do with the environment?
From thrifted and secondhand finds to borrowed, handmade, repaired, repurposed, upcycled, and creatively restyled pieces, the runway will celebrate the many ways we can rethink fashion—and look FABULOUS doing it!
But why Constitution Lakes Park?
This celebration has been a year in the making! Stewardship, environmental education, community programming, and some pretty amazing collaborations have helped care for and improve Constitution Lakes Park while supporting its nomination to Birds Georgia’s Centennial Celebration Georgia Birding Trail. Now, we're celebrating what we WERE able to accomplish, the people who helped make it happen, and all the possibilities still ahead for this special park.
Along the way, an unexpected connection emerged: even what we wear can leave its mark on the places we love. And THAT is where the forest meets fashion.
Then, stick around as the experience expands into the Festival, with environmental education, hands-on activities, community organizations, vendors, music, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to explore Constitution Lakes Park—or head over to another very special event happening that very same afternoon!
11:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. | FOREST FASHION SHOW
The centerpiece of the day! A celebration of sustainable style, creativity, youth, community, and the natural world.
3:00–6:00 p.m. | FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE
Explore activity stations, environmental education, community partners, vendors, entertainment, and more throughout the park.

Presented in collaboration with SewConscious, the DeKalb County-based parent company of Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week, as an official 2026 Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week event—with support from participating community and environmental partners.

What to bring:
Wear comfortable footwear, dress for the weather, and bring a refillable water bottle.
And don't just come to WATCH the sustainable fashion...WEAR IT!
Arrive sustainably styled head to toe—rock your consciously sourced look where fashion, creativity, conservation, community, and celebration meet.
PLEASE BRING CASH for food and vendor purchases. Cards may be accepted where service allows, but cellular service at Constitution Lakes Park can be unreliable.
Restrooms:
Restroom facilities will be available for event attendees. Follow event signage for locations.

This is a family-friendly event. All ages are welcome.
Dogs:
Because of the size, activities, runway environment, and anticipated attendance for this special event, please leave pets at home.
Weather contingency:
This is an outdoor event. Event activities may be modified, delayed, or canceled due to rain, severe weather, or other unsafe conditions. Registered attendees will be notified of significant event changes.
Walking distance:
Unlike a guided hike, this is a festival-style event with activities occurring in multiple areas of Constitution Lakes Park. Walking distances will vary depending on the activities you choose to explore.
Exposure:
Constitution Lakes Park includes both shaded and exposed outdoor areas. September conditions may be warm and humid, and insects may be present. Please prepare for the day's weather and outdoor conditions.
Trail surface & accessibility:
Event activities will take place across different areas of Constitution Lakes Park and may involve paved surfaces, boardwalks, natural surfaces, and uneven terrain. Guests should select activities and routes appropriate for their individual mobility and comfort.
Program Photos:
We love documenting our programs and may share photographs on DeKalb County Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs' websites, publications, and social media platforms. While participants are welcome to take their own photos, photographs taken by staff are generally intended for County documentation and promotional purposes and are not routinely distributed to participants.
Waiver & Release:
By registering for this activity, each participant hereby acknowledges and agrees that he/she is participating in this program at his/her own risk and holds DeKalb County and all its officers, agents, servants, and/or employees harmless from and against any and all claims, loss, damage, charge, or expense to which they or any of them may be put or subjected by reason of participant’s participation in this program. You further acknowledge that DeKalb County is not responsible for the acts of others participating in this program and the other participants may include, but not be limited to, interested individuals, members of civic groups, religious groups, or community group, and/or persons convicted of crimes and/or violations of County ordinances and ordered to provide community service. I give permission that all photographs, films, video recordings, and sound recordings of me and/or my child(ren) made by the DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs during this Naturalist program may be used non-commercially by the DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs to promotion and educational purposes.
