About this Event
Certified Forest Bathing Instructor Tasha LaDonna will guide participants through a slow, mindful immersion in Marine Park designed to support nervous system regulation, sensory awareness, and reflection on our relationship with the natural world.
In recognition of World Environment Day, this experience also invites participants to reflect on environmental stewardship and identify one small, meaningful action they can take to care for the Earth in their daily lives.
Participants will move slowly through the park using breathwork, sensory awareness, and guided reflection to deepen their connection to the surrounding landscape.
Location: Salt Marsh Nature Center Courtyard, E. 33 St. & Ave. U, Marine Park
Workshop Experience
Welcome & Orientation
Participants will gather in the Salt Marsh Nature Center courtyard for a brief introduction to forest bathing, the goals of the experience, and the importance of slowing down to observe and connect with nature.
Guided Forest Immersion Walk
A slow, mindful walk through Marine Park focused on breath awareness and sensory engagement. Participants will be guided to notice sounds, textures, scents, and visual details in the environment while moving at a gentle pace that encourages deeper observation.
Grounding & Embodied Reflection
Participants will pause for a grounding practice that helps settle the nervous system and encourages awareness of the body in relationship with the surrounding environment.
Earth Connection Meditation & Act of Care Practice
Participants will be guided through a short meditation focused on our interconnectedness with the Earth. At the end of the practice, participants will be invited to identify one small act of care for the environment they can carry into their daily lives.
Closing Circle & Integration
The experience will conclude with an optional reflection circle where participants may share insights from the walk and consider ways to maintain a deeper relationship with nature beyond the workshop.
Note: This workshop is designed for participants of all experience levels and fitness abilities. The walk will be slow-paced with opportunities to pause and rest as needed. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear for outdoor walking.
To help maintain a calm and attentive environment for all participants, we ask that young children and highly active pets not attend this program.
