About this Event

The summer will slowly be coming to an end, the whisper of Autumn in the air. Together Joelle and Ana will guide you on a beautiful journey to open your heart, your senses and find some inner calm and stillness. Like nature we move in seasons and cycles and this session will guide us and remind us why slowing down and connecting within is so important.

Ana will begin our session with a cacao ceremony and from there Joelle will take you into the forest where we not only connect within, but we connect with all the living things around us.

As we all know summers are short and busy, this is the perfect opportunity to come a just be before kids go back to school, the weather begins to shift and the cool air of fall really starts to settle in.

Joelle Bourque is the founder of Wild Earth Artistry and a certified Forest Bathing Guide, meditation facilitator, photographer, and retreat host based in Central Alberta. Her work is rooted in helping people slow down, reconnect with nature, and remember who they are beneath the noise of everyday life. Through guided forest bathing experiences, mindfulness practices, and gentle sensory invitations, Joelle creates spaces where participants can rest, regulate their nervous systems, and cultivate a deeper relationship with themselves and the natural world. With a background in photography and women’s retreats, she believes nature is one of our greatest teachers, offering presence, perspective, and healing without asking us to become anything other than ourselves. Whether wandering through the forest in silence or gathering in community, Joelle invites people to experience the simple yet profound medicine of being fully present outdoors.

Ana Solorzano has been practicing ceremonial cacao experiences since 2021. Inspired by her ancestral connection to cacao, she creates heart-centered spaces where women can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and embrace healing, self-love, and inner wisdom. Through cacao, meditation, breathwork, and intentional reflection, Ana guides participants on a journey back to the heart.

Forest bathing isn’t about hiking or reaching a destination, it’s about slowing down enough to truly experience the forest with all of your senses. In a world that constantly asks us to do more, move faster, and stay connected, forest bathing offers an opportunity to simply be.

Spending intentional time in nature has been shown to help reduce stress, support the nervous system, improve mood, and cultivate a greater sense of presence and well-being. More than anything, it reminds us that we are part of nature, not separate from it.

This experience is especially unique because we’ll begin with a heart-opening cacao ceremony, creating space to arrive fully, set intentions, and gently transition from the busyness of everyday life into a slower rhythm. From there, you’ll be guided through a series of mindful invitations that awaken your senses and deepen your connection with the land, yourself, and those around you.

There is no right or wrong way to experience forest bathing. There is no pressure to perform, achieve, or even talk. You’ll be invited to move slowly, notice the beauty that often goes unseen, and allow nature to meet you exactly where you are.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, creatively stuck, disconnected, or simply craving a little more peace, this experience offers a chance to exhale, reconnect, and leave feeling more grounded, present, and alive.
