About this Event
Experience the healing and wellness-promoting effects of Forest Bathing as you connect with nature at Welkinweir Arboretum. Forest Bathing, also known as Forest Therapy, is a practice that supports health, wholeness, and well-being through guided immersion in natural environments. Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku (forest bathing), this experience offers benefits for body, mind, and spirit.
During this session, you will be gently guided through a series of mindful invitations designed to help you slow down, awaken your senses, and deepen your connection with the natural world. Whether you are looking to reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, or simply spend time outdoors, this slow-paced walk is suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
What to Expect:
- A mindful, slow, guided walk through beautiful natural surroundings
- Opportunities for quiet reflection and connection with nature
- Closing tea ceremony
Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water, layers, or anything that will enhance your comfort. In case of severe weather, the event will be rescheduled. We will meet in the main parking lot and head down to the trail together to begin the walk.
