About this Event
The second day of the 3rd annual California State Parks Week features the theme "Nourish Your Health and Well-being". Forest Bathing, a tranlation of the Japanese term "shinrin-yoku", is the therapeutic practice of spending quality time in nature, just breathing in the fresh air and engaging all your senses to enjoy the natural beauty around you. Our experience will include an easy 1-mile roundtrip walk on an ADA accessible trail with both park staff and an experienced forest bathing guide.
Participants should wear shoes and clothing suitable for walking along an unpaved trail. They are also recommended to have sun protection, water, snacks, and an extra layer (in case of chilly morning breezes). There is no fee to participate, but there is an $8 per vehicle fee to park at Pantoll. The Pantoll Campground can also be accessed by Marin Transit's Stagecoach Route 61 bus.
