Come and join us at Karrakup Wellness Centre for 2 hours of Forest Bathing & Nature Meditation with Breathwork & Reiki. Located on a 5 acre tranquil tree lined property away from the noise of traffic, surrounded by State Forest.
You will be able to relax to the sounds of native birds and wildlife, as well as our resident ducks and geese with the occasional distant farm animals.
On arrival, you will be greeted with a herbal tea to enjoy prior to a group Breathwork & Reiki session to help calm and relax your nervous system, followed by some quiet time to “Just Be” and soak up the healing benefits of the forest.
During this time you are invited to either journal, read, meditate, sit quietly or lie back underneath our grandmother pine tree.
Forest Bathing is a Japanese tradition and the Japanese call it “Shinrin - Yoku”
There have been multiple studies worldwide of its positive effects which include:
• Stress reduction
• Lowers blood pressure
• Improves mood, focus, energy & sleep
Forests emit phytoncides such as alpha - pinene and beta - pinene. They help plants fight diseases and also benefit humans. When you are in the forest you naturally breathe these in.
1 hour in the forest can increase phytoncide levels up to 600%.
These phytoncides also increase the activity of your “natural disease killer cells” which target and eliminate tumour and cancerous cells. Just 2 hours in the forest can increase your natural killer cell levels by 50% and these elevated levels can remain as long as 30days.

We are located within a 10minute drive to historic Jarrahdale and its local attractions that include cafes/bistro/tavern, dams, nature walking tracks and historic buildings if you are looking for something to do afterwards in the area.
* In case of rain event will be held inside Bell tent on the property by the dam where you will still be able to hear and enjoy the healing sounds of nature
