Forest Bathing & Guided Meditation
About this Event
Forest Bathing & Guided Meditation Experience
Reconnect. Reset. Remember what it feels like to simply be.
This guided forest bathing and meditation experience is an invitation to slow down, step outside, and be in community to reconnect with nature, with your breath, and with yourself.
Together, we’ll gently transition away from the noise of daily life. Through guided sensory invitations, slow mindful walking, and moments of stillness, you’ll be supported in settling your nervous system and learning to connect with nature's gifts.
This experience is open to people of all backgrounds and life experiences, whether you’re new to meditation or have an established practice. There is no right way to participate, only an opportunity to arrive as you are.
What to Expect:
- A casual, welcoming, and inclusive environment grounded in care and respect
- Gentle guidance through forest therapy / forest bathing (inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku)
- Simple meditation and breathing practices to support relaxation
- Time for quiet reflection and optional group sharing
Where to Go:
Tryon Creek State Natural Area - Red Fox Trailhead
Note: Although we will mostly be sitting, standing, or walking (very) slowly, this trail does have a steep hill, which we will be following down and then returning upon.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothing for the weather - It's spring!
- Cloth to sit on - optional
- Water - optional
- Journal - optional
