Hello readers! Join us as we discuss our next challenged book. November's meeting is about Meredith Russo's novel, If I Was Your Girl.
Amanda Hardy is the new girl at school. Like everyone else, all she wants is to make friends and fit in, but Amanda has a secret. At her old school, she used to be called Andrew. The big-hearted, award-winning novel is all about being seen for who you really are.
We'll be bringing snacks, and we will also be accepting gently used copies of books to share amongst the community for those that are interested, but readers aren't required to bring anything but their minds and their voices.
Although The Forbidden Book Club is open to readers of all ages and skill levels, we would like to disclose that this book is recommended for 9th grade to adult level readers and does contain subject matter that could be potentially triggering to some.
