About this Event
Saturday, September 6 · 4:30pm, followed by a vegan-friendly bonfire with S'mores
Step into the season of wild abundance for a gentle guided walk designed for those interested in the edible plants growing around us.
In this late Summer program, you’ll learn how to safely identify a variety of common wild plants perfect for teas, salads, and other recipes. From leafy greens to berries and roots, we’ll show you what’s in season, what’s safe, and what to leave behind. We’ll also talk about sustainable harvesting practices and share simple ways to prepare your foraged finds.
This is not a lecture, it’s a hands-on, feet-on-the-ground experience, perfect for anyone who wants to become more confident in spotting regional edible plants.
Bring your curiosity, a notebook if you like, and good walking shoes. Whether you’re dreaming of brewing your own wild tea or simply want to explore what’s growing nearby, this walk is a perfect place to start.
No prior experience needed — just curiosity and good walking shoes!
This event is a fundraiser for Animal Advocates. Tickets will be sold on a sliding scale, with a few at $15 and others at $25 to accomodate for varying budgets.
