Foraging Walk with Emily Wild
About this Event
Join Emily Wild of Foraging Folklore at Archer Lane Allotments Open Day on Saturday 11th July for a guided plant walk through the open allotments.
Together we'll explore the edible and useful plants growing throughout the site, learning how to identify them and discussing their potential modern uses, including current research into nutrition and herbal applications. We'll also uncover their traditional uses, folklore and cultural history.
This relaxed walk offers a chance to see nature in a new light, revealing the folk stories, practical knowledge and historical connections that surround these often overlooked plants. Whether you're interested in foraging, history, herbalism or simply becoming more connected to the natural world, you'll leave with a deeper appreciation of the plants growing around you.
