Join local forager, farmer and educator, Sarah Lucas, as we learn how to forage for wild edibles during winter. Whether for health, hunger, or curiosity, come and meet some of your backyard resources as Sarah shows us how to find, identify, and responsibly harvest wild edibles that are in-season. The two-hour class will include handouts, identification and nutritional information, and access to Sarah’s extensive foraging library, and culminate with a simple picnic of dishes made with the very same ingredients we’ll learn about. We will be walking around the library, so dress for the outdoors.
This program is free to the public!
