About this Event
Forage School: A Day of Wild Plant Connection
Johns Island | Pachamama Preserve
10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Step out of the domesticated world and back into the living, breathing ecosystem that you are a part of.
Join me for an immersive Forage School experience at Pachamama Preserve, where we will spend the day learning the language of plants—through both science and intuition.
Together, we will explore the diverse natural plant communities of Johns Island—from field edges to forest understories—and learn how plants organize themselves into living ecosystems.
You will learn how to:
• Identify medicinal and edible plants with confidence
• Understand foundational botany in a way that is alive and applicable
• Recognize natural plant communities and what they reveal about the land
• Forage safely and sustainably
• Connect with plants through intuition and direct experience
Throughout the day, you will meet a diversity of wild herbs growing in their natural habitat—plants that have nourished and healed humans for generations, many of which are growing right beneath your feet.
This experience is for those who feel the call to reconnect with the land, to remember ancestral ways of knowing, and to begin (or deepen) their journey into wild herbalism.
You will leave with a felt sense of connection, confidence, and belonging within the natural world.
Come ready to walk, observe, taste, and remember.
Stay wild. Stay human. 🌿
With Love,
