For The Love of The Arts: Zach Cordner

Join us for this special Friday morning at San Diego Mesa College (Mesa Commons) for an artist talk and Q&A featuring renowned photographer Zach Cordner! Students interested in photography will also have the special opportunity to have their photography portfolios reviewed and receive feedback. This is an opportunity for students and emerging artists to build their career in the arts and humanities through feedback from someone in the field!
Cordner has worked with major organizations and publications and has served as an official Coachella Music Festival photographer for several years, from 2001 to 2019. His famous clientele included celebrities and groups such as Johnny Depp, the cast of Jackass, Deftones, and the late Stan Lee. He also worked with several organizations, most notably Red Bull, Vans, Metal Blade Records, and the WWE.
Most recently, he co-curated 60 Miles East: Riverside’s Underground Punk Rock, Hardcore & Ska Scene From the Late 1980s to Early 2000s at the Riverside Art Museum, an exhibition documenting his firsthand experience within the music and cultural scene. He is a current co-owner and creative director of The Osider Magazine based in Oceanside, CA. He has given back to the art community by teaching photography to high school students, bringing not only an incredible professional portfolio but also mentorship experience for emerging photographers.
