Tiana Zabala's "Woman of Water" is a collection of poems and short stories that are a witness to a journey. Transforming through four eras of her life, Tiana explores complex and intimate topics that beg the question: What do we do with desire, rage, and passion? These writings contemplate musings on identity, dreams, and connectedness through the intricacies of a human’s lived experience. Tiana is not only a treasure in our community, but she also collaborates with the library frequently through our partnering programs with GoggleWorks Community Garden. We are grateful she will be in attendance for this potent book discussion. We hope to see you there!
Read and chat with us about stories with characters who are black, brown, Afro-Latino, or of any gender identity or sexuality that has been marginalized or underrepresented in our community. All are welcome and encouraged to join “For the Culture.”
