For Solidarity: Document H.E.T., Alternative Publishing and Community Undercurrents
Schedule
Sat Mar 07 2026 at 12:00 pm to 05:00 pm
UTC+00:00Location
The NewBridge Project | Newcastle Upon Tyne, EN
Join us on the opening to explore the collection of 1970s to 1990 dissident print culture, which moves from inner-city squatting and grassroots organising, to intentional communities (including co-ops and communes), alternative technology, self-sufficiency, and co-existence with nature.
The exhibition is part of For Solidarity (2019–) an ongoing initiative sharing learnings about solidarity economies. See our website for a host of events, screenings and gatherings with local organisers, artists, and collectives in which Document H.E.T. forms a backdrop for conversations on solidarity today.
Niall Greaves is a co-founder of NewBridge Print studio and runs Document. H.E.T which exists primarily – and perhaps ironically – online, as a study of the power of print in shaping collective consciousness before Web 1.0.
