We, meaning all of us, lost a friend when Johnny “Roastbeef” Bakke left us in April. He was a father, a brother, a retired New York City Police detective, and a fixture at Mattingly’s Tavern since day one. Johnny would have celebrated his 60th birthday in May.
Join Mattingly’s Tavern on Sunday, May 24, 2026 from 2-5pm to remember Johnny. A portion of sales during Johnny’s memorial/celebration of life will benefit the Bakke family.
