FOR HIS GLORY - A Women’s Retreat
“Through God’s perfect grace, we are alive for the purpose of bringing Him glory. Through Scripture, we will uncover the solutions to the silent temptations we face in life, discover a deeper meaning of grace, gain a different perspective on prayer, and learn God’s design for a life of abiding in Him— for your good and His glory.
Although various Scriptures will be shared throughout the day, the following three passages will serve as the framework of the retreat: Ephesians 2:8-9, John 15:8, and Romans 12:1-2."
MEET YOUR SPEAKERS:
Keynote Speaker - Andi Rispens
Andi is a wife, mom to two boys, author, speaker, and lifelong learner. She is pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Bible Exposition from Biola University and has been teaching and leading Bible studies since 2016. Since 2020, she has been speaking and developing concept and content for yearly women's retreats. Her passions include women's discipleship and reading the Bible the way it was intended! She is a member of Grace PCA Church, which meets at Illiana High School. In 2024, she released a devotional/Bible study book on prayer entitled "Get Over Yourself: Pray like Your Life Depends on It (because it Does)".

Keynote Speaker - Lisa Bonnema
As a professional writer, Lisa spends most of her days writing articles and corporate marketing content, but her passion is sharing her Christian faith through speaking engagements and all things social media. For the last 12 years, she has encouraged thousands of women across the Midwest, Tennessee, and Colorado at women’s events, MomCo. (formerly MOPs) meetings, weekend retreats, worship nights, virtual gatherings, and other special ministry events. Her faith-based writing has been published by (in)courage, Her View from Home, and specialneedsparenting.net. She is also co-host of the Her Solid Ground Podcast. Lisa has been married to her husband, Jeff, for 25 years and is a “mom in progress” to three teenage girls and a giant dog named Auggie. She lives with her family in Mokena, IL and is an active member at Hickory Creek Church.

Special guest speaker - Sheila Krygsheld:
Sheila is a wife, mother, and grandmother of five. She holds a master’s degree in Biblical Studies and Cultural Apologetics and has taught college-level religion. She serves as a worship leader, Bible study leader, and is a member of the Women’s Ministry team at her home church. Recently, she finished her first book about how believers can articulate what they believe through the lens of scripture. Sheila is passionate about helping others seek truth to find their identity in Christ and understand the beliefs they hold.
