How can we be more sustainable and get over our addiction to plastic? Let's build some games and game pieces with mushrooms instead!
About this Event

Come join us at the Baltimore UnderGround Science Space (BUGSS) for a fascinating event all about the wonders of mushroom materials! Discover how mushrooms can be used to create sustainable and innovative products like game pieces. From packaging to building materials, mushrooms have incredible potential. Let's build our own creations!

This class is part of a research study funded by the National Science Foundation (Award #: 2415876) that seeks to understand the learning affordances and constraints of doing hands-on, modern life science in informal learning environments. We are hoping to have middle school students attend with at least one friend or family member! So, please buy a ticket for each participant. Parents/guardians will be asked to complete a research consent form that will come to you separately by email. Participants who complete the research forms and participate in the class will receive a $20 gift card.
